The TRUTH About Club Box Seats At An MLB Playoff Game

Sitting right behind the plate at an MLB playoff game will cost you.

For last night's game in Philadelphia between the Phillies and the Cardinals, the price for luxury Diamond Club seats was around $600 a ticket.

We were lucky enough to snag a seat nine rows behind the plate.

It was a cool experience. We're not quite sure it was worth the piggy-bank breaking $600, but the food was great, the club was spiffy, and the view of the game was unreal.

We get our own fancy entrance, no lines

Who knew the Diamond Club has its own logo

Here's the Diamond Club. There's a bar area, a dining area, and TVs everywhere. Wow

We get a wristband, very exclusive

Our ticket comes with $30 worth of food and drink money

Here's the dinner options. Not exactly a hot dog and a beer

We go with the pulled pork sliders, and they're delicious

Instead of the customary ballpark beer stand, they have a full neoned-out bar

$7.25 for a local brew, not too bad

It's cold and windy out, so the Diamond Clubbers keep indoors for as long as possible

The club has a mirror where you can see the players taking batting practice in the cage. We catch Albert Pujols about 30 minutes before the game

Unbelievable seats, we're just yards away from the action. Definitely the best part of the experience

There's a menu and waitresses at our seats. Yes, that's an $11 Caesar salad

But if we want to old-fashioned ballpark food, we can hit the concession stand, er, "Bistro"

The atmosphere is like another game to start. But once the rain comes and the Phillies start the fall apart, the Diamond Clubbers lose some steam

We could hit the souvenir stand on the way out, but it's past midnight, time to head home

Overall, the Diamond Club is pretty impressive. The food and beer were good and reasonably priced, the club itself was awesome, and the seats were top-notch. All that was lacking was the Phils win
